About the ByronTV project

The ByronTV project began with the collaboration of film production artists Sahaj (Freerange Media) and Aran Major (AzInc) on the short film Body Parts. The film picked up an award for Best DVD/Video at the Northern Rivers Dolphin Awards 2004.

Encouraged with this success Sahaj in the guise of local film-making identity, Ron Bay, headed for France to attend the 2005 Cannes Film Festival intent on capture footage of this premier film makers event to launch the ByronTV.net website.

"We're on a mission to connect you with the amazingly creative and unique culture which is Byron Bay and the surrounding Rainbow region. We're starting small (very small). Our short term goal is to give you a new video stream weekly about a local event or person. As we crank it up we'll introduce more features to the site."
